Creamy Mushroom Steaks

Ingredients:
- 2 pounds beef top loin steaks — cut into 4 or 6 pieces
- 1 Tablespoon butter
- 1 each red bell pepper (cut into strips)
- 1 each green bell pepper (cut into strips)
- Sauce
- 1/2 pound fresh mushrooms (sliced)
- 2 Tablespoons butter
- 3 tablespoons onion (chopped)
- 1 cup heavy cream
- 1 cup water
- 2 teaspoons soy sauce
- 1 each salt and pepper (to taste)
How to Prepare:
Saute sliced mushrooms in butter until slightly browned. Add in onions and saute for 3 minutes.
Add remaining ingredients and let simmer, uncovered, until slightly thikened(you can whisk in 1-2 teaspoons of soy flour that has been dissolved in 1/4 cup water if desired for a thicker sauce).
Fry steaks in remaining butter for 2 minutes each side. Remove and stir fry pepper strips for 2 minutes. Add steaks and sauce back in and simmer 10 minutes or until steaks are at desired doneness.
